Marketing Communication Coordinator

POSITION TITLE: Marketing & Communications Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: Business Development Director

MAJOR DUTIES: Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is responsible for the strategic marketing and communication activities for the Eclipse group of companies. The incumbent will carry out the coordination and implementation of marketing communication projects that include public relations, special events management, graphic design, copywriting and editing, advertising, market research, and creating brand awareness. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the sales and marketing fields, and deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement global marketing strategies to promote the Eclipse group of companies
  • Coordinate all aspects and requirements for media relations (eg. trade shows etc.) including logistics planning, establishing contacts, arranging and assembling all required materials
  • Daily social media maintenance on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn including updating and creating content and industry-related articles all social media channels regularly.
  • Update main website graphic and copy content
  • Research and write Blog Articles (for website)
  • Responsible for writing press releases, blog posts and articles for Automation magazines
  • Manage all marketing materials and branding for Eclipse group of companies and maintaining a collection of video footage and photos
  • Increase company’s media profile by entering award competitions and collaborating with media outlets to promote all North American facilities
  • Assist in employee communication such as developing newsletters and maintaining internal WordPress website
  • Work with Human Resources to create new and innovative ideas to improve employee involvement and collaboration, including Quarterly Internal Newsletter.
  • Manage Eclipse’s Intranet Website. (I.e.: Weekly Community Events, internal events, etc.)
  • Support Internal Marketing Initiatives (ie.Creating Brand Ambassadors)
  • Photography and videos for projects and events.
  • Update Media Binder and assist with PR strategy
  • Create Eclipse branding materials including business cards , templates and other various graphic design materials (Posters, pictures, logos, layouts etc)
  • Create content and distribute the Quarterly Client Email Newsletter
  • Manage the Eclipse Clothing Order semi-annually
  • Maintain the email media listing

EDUCATION:
• Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Design or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
• 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience in B2B environment, automation experience is an asset
• Proven background in Public Relations and Communications
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premier Pro
• Able to use analytical software such as Google Analytics to track performances, and knowledge of MailChimp or deploying e-newsletters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and coordination skills
• Self-starter, capable of taking initiative to identify and resolve problems
• Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail
