Eclipse’s Annual Internal Sales Summit took place from January 24th to January 26th at Eclipse Headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario. Teams from Eclipse’s US divisions travelled to Canada to attend the three-day event. The purpose of this yearly summit is to review the annual Business Development Plan and overall global strategy. Aligned to the company’s open communication approach and employee retention focus, the Sales Summit aims to build a stronger relationship among employees by creating an atmosphere conducive to active participation and work on areas of improvement.

Day 1, kicked off with an Executive review of the 2018 Business Development Plan, followed by a working lunch to review key market trends and updates on the Nuclear, Life Sciences and Transportation Industries. Day 1 concluded with a team building activity with participation from the Executive, Sales, Marketing, Applications and Service teams.

The second day focused on the Sales and Marketing teams, who were introduced to the 2018 Business plan, setting of priorities and joint projects. This presentation was followed by Marketing and Service updates, and afterwards, a round table discussion on 2018 trends and market outlooks in order to provide a platform to discuss business challenges and opportunities in the light of the current business environment and technological developments. The teams enjoyed a nice dinner and a hockey game in the Eclipse suite at the Sleeman Center in Guelph, Ontario.

On Day 3, Eclipse’s Southwest and Southeast teams provided updates and insights on their regions, followed by a Guest Speaker, and expert on the Aerospace Industry, who exchanged knowledge and informative insights on the industry outlook. Eclipse’s Global Collaboration Director shared an overview on the Smart Automation Group strategies and priorities for 2018, followed by two cases studies on the nuclear industry provided by Sales Account Managers.

Action plans developed at the summit and the cohesive communication between the teams, resulted in the identification of areas of improvement and priorities for future team-cooperation and meeting 2018 strategic goals.
