Mercedes-Marbach 6 – A Stunning Design

After months of rumours, Mercedes has finally revealed the Vision Mercedes-Marbach 6 concept car. A combination of old-world design with modern interior mechanics, the design and engineering that went into this concept car is incredible.

The Vision measures is almost 6 meters (19.6 ft) long with unique asthetic exterior markers, such as the grille’s vertical struts, which are inspired by pinstriped suits. Although it is a larger car, the Mercedes-Marbach’s ability to travel from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) takes less than four seconds, with top speed limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

Unlike oldworld cars, the Mercedes-Maybach concept is fully electric, running at 550 kW (750 hp) with 80 kWh underfloor batteries offering over 500 km of range. One impressive spec is the 350 kW DC charging system that takes only 5 minutes to add 100 km (62 mi) of range.

The interior of the car is a combination of old-world grandeur and modern technology. Elm wood and soft leather contrast with “smart” control displays. There are two traditional hooded dials behind the steering wheel, but everything from mapping to seat settings are controlled through the wraparound glass screen, while the windscreen acts like a gesture-controlled HUD. Furthermore, the seats have built-in body sensors that measure a rider’s vital signs, in order to adjust the climate control, seat massaging and cabin lighting for each unique user.

From battery storage and alternative fuel source solutions to one-off fabrications and/or extensive assembly lines, Eclipse Automation’s cross-divisional exposure and experience offers you progressive automation, enabling you to bring concepts, much like the Vision 6, to life.
