Teens Immerse In the World of Automation

Seven teens joined Eclipse Automation for the annual Take Our Kids to Work™ day on November 14, 2018. The morning included a company orientation, review of our Young and Vulnerable Workers program, tour of the facilities and a demonstration of our 3D printer. The agenda unfolded into a mechanical engineering presentation and robotics video. The group decompressed and enjoyed pizza in the employee lounge – shooting some pool, playing chess and exploring their skill level at a vintage Pac-Man video game. After lunch they were able to job shadow and learn about the role that their parents play at Eclipse.

Launched in 1994, Take Our Kids to Work™ is an annual event where Grade 9 students step into their future for a day and get a glimpse into the working world. It is the most recognized career education event in Canada involving an estimated 200,000 students.
