Eclipse Automation provided a fully automatic cylinder head assembly and testing system.  The system included extensive data tracking capabilities and included all part transport and manipulation operations.

The project consisted of the following operations.

- Cylinder head washer tending (via large overhead robotic tender).

- Valve seat insertion (Eclipse Automation has experience with and without pre-soak in liquid Nitrogen)

- Valve guide insertion

- Cam Bearing insertion

- Cup Plug insertion (with Loctite application)

- Injector Sleeve insertion

- Pipe lug insertion

- Sherex Plug insertion

- Leak testing

- Functional testing

- Cylinder head transport (via robotics, walking beam and conveyor).
