As the year comes to an end, it’s natural to reflect on the milestones and achievements that shaped the year — and we’re no different.
For Eclipse Automation, 2025 was marked by customer successes, strong industry engagement, and continued global momentum. Rather than catalogue every project or appearance, this year-in-review highlights the moments that best reflect how Eclipse showed up in 2025: Helping customers solve today’s manufacturing challenges, hosting conversations about the future of automation, and continuing to build a strong, talented workforce.
Key Takeaways

Solving manufacturing challenges across industries
This year, Eclipse Automation delivered multiple automation solutions across key sectors, including automotive, nuclear, energy, and consumer products. Each project focused on scalability, precision, and long-term performance.
In the automotive sector, Firestone secured a multi-year, high-volume contract to supply millions of air springs. To support consistent quality and efficiency across North America — with the potential for future expansion into Europe — Eclipse delivered a scalable, high-performance automation solution designed for long-term growth.
Zoox, a developer of next-generation robotaxi vehicles, optimized production of critical components, including sensor pods, computing units, and specialized glass panels. Eclipse’s automation support ensured precision and scalability across key manufacturing processes supporting this emerging mobility platform.
Within industrial manufacturing, Dixon modernized aging equipment and brownfield facilities to increase efficiency and maintain a competitive edge. Our solutions streamlined production processes and positioned the company for long-term growth.
In the energy sector, Viridi, a renewable energy provider of lithium-ion solutions required Eclipse’s help to optimize the production of resilient, self-contained battery systems for construction, heavy industrial, and medical applications.
Additionally, Eclipse’s expertise in highly regulated industries continued to expand in 2025, particularly within the nuclear sector, where safety, precision, and compliance are critical.
Our nuclear expertise extends internationally as well. We signed multiple contracts to design, manufacture, and supply automated tooling and equipment for upcoming CANDU® reactor refurbishment projects in Cernavoda, Romania, and Qinshan, China.
Eclipse Automation also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Westinghouse to support nuclear new-build projects in Canada and globally, providing automation solutions for key AP1000® and AP300™ projects. Eclipse and Westinghouse will also collaborate to develop tooling for the refurbishment of operating nuclear plants.
Showing up where the industry is going
Eclipse remained active across the automation ecosystem in 2025, showing its industry leadership at events as exhibitors, presenters, and attendees. These engagements provided opportunities to connect with industry leaders, explore emerging trends, and share insights on the future of factory automation.
We showed up at events like MD&M West, Automate, and The Battery Show. We also attended panels and gave presentations across Canada, the United States, and Europe for events such as MEDICA, WNE, WiN, ADM, FOCUS, and AutoMayors.
At these events, Eclipse shared how emerging technologies — including digital twins, virtual commissioning, and data-driven manufacturing — are changing how factories are designed, optimized, and operated.
A highlight at these events was our demonstration of our Omniverse technology. Using Gaussian splatting technology, based on radiance fields, this technology enables manufacturers to create real time or near real time digital representations of their facilities.
For manufacturing leaders, new technology means faster decision-making, clearer visibility into how changes impact operations, and new ways to improve throughput and ROI without disrupting production. These are just some of the practical outcomes of digital tools in modern manufacturing.

The Automation Lab: Our innovation showcase
In October, we had the pleasure of hosting the Manufacturing Leadership Council (MLC) and more than 50 of its members at our iPort location in Cambridge. The event created space for open dialogue about the future of factory automation while showcasing how digital innovation, smart automation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration are shaping the next generation of manufacturing systems.
At the centre of it all was our new Automation Lab: a collaborative destination where technology meets imagination. Built to test, validate, and advance automation solutions, the Lab is also a creative space where teams across Eclipse can push boundaries, explore ideas, and co-create the future — with our customers and with each other.
The MLC event also allowed us to continue our collaborations with Mirsee Robotics in exploring advanced automation innovations, and with Waterloo EDC to strengthen local industry connections and support regional economic development.

People and culture: The foundation of what’s next
Eclipse continued to invest in its people and culture in 2025. We believe a strong, connected workforce is the foundation of innovation, collaboration, and long-term success.
Throughout the year, departments regularly hosted lunches or events to foster team bonding and collaboration or worked in partnership with other departments to host lunch n’ learn sessions, promoting interdepartmental learning.
The annual summer Eclipse golf tournament continues to be a valued tradition, bringing teams together for a day of friendly competition and team building while celebrating the people behind the work.
At the annual end-of-the-year holiday party, employees came together to unwind and engage with people from other departments they didn’t often see. The party spread holiday joy, laughter, and good times for everyone involved.
Additionally, the holiday party is where CEO Steve Mai and President Mike Fisher presented the service and recognition awards to longstanding employees, recognizing their value and contributions to the company.

Looking ahead to 2026
As Eclipse looks toward 2026, several exciting ventures, events, and initiatives are on the horizon. Some will continue to push innovation and automation forward, while others will focus on strengthening the organization and supporting the next generation of engineers.
We closed 2025 with strong momentum, made possible by our customers, partners, and employees who continue to build what’s next with us. These relationships — grounded in trust, collaboration, and shared goals — will shape Eclipse’s success in 2026 and beyond.
