Overview

The reality factory teams face

Keeping automation systems running is a daily challenge for factory teams. Downtime is expensive, documentation is often incomplete, and skilled resources are stretched thin. Many automation solutions were built for short-term delivery, not long-term maintainability. As a result, teams struggle to support, optimize, and evolve critical systems, increasing risk, delaying improvements, and diverting focus from core production goals.

To move forward, factories need automation partners who think beyond commissioning and handover. Sustainable automation requires clear ownership, robust standards, and systems designed for longevity. With the right operational approach, teams regain control, reduce risk, and create a foundation that supports continuous improvement rather than constant firefighting. We have the talent and capability to support, service, and take ownership of machines and systems—no matter who integrated them.

The service and support challenges no one budgets for:

Unplanned downtime caused by unknown failure modes

Legacy systems with missing or outdated documentation

Obsolete components that can no longer be sourced

Skills gaps as experienced technicians retire

Reactive maintenance that prevents improvement

Poor spare-parts visibility and inventory discipline

Solve automation challenges before they stop you

When factory automation systems fail, the impact is immediate, lost production, rising maintenance costs, and increased risk. Even the most advanced systems face service and support challenges that limit reliability and efficiency, making it essential to identify these issues to reduce downtime, control costs, and protect long-term performance. These are the most common challenges plants face and the problems that must be addressed to keep operations running reliably.

  • Unplanned downtime – unexpected equipment failures stop production and are costly to diagnose and repair.
  • Hard-to-troubleshoot issues – intermittent faults and limited diagnostics slow root-cause analysis.
  • Skills and knowledge gaps – plants lack trained factory automation experts as systems grow more complex.
  • Multi-vendor complexity – different automation brands and platforms don’t integrate or support easily.
  • Obsolete and legacy systems – end-of-life hardware and software increase failure risk and limit support.
  • Poor documentation – outdated or missing drawings, programs, and backups delay repairs.
  • Limited remote support – restricted access prevents fast expert troubleshooting and recovery.
  • Slow vendor support – legacy OT systems are vulnerable to cyber threats and compliance issues.

Service packages that fit your operation

Every customer receives our Economy service package, with the option to upgrade to Essential, Enhanced, or Elite tiers for additional coverage. Each tier is customizable to align with your operational goals and support needs.

Economy

The Economy service package is for companies that prefer to manage most maintenance and support internally while maintaining access to essential project documentation. It includes the bill of materials, spare parts list, O&M manual, and training to help teams stay self-sufficient and organized. This package gives companies a cost-effective way to maintain visibility into their system without ongoing service commitments.

Essential

Includes everything in Economy, plus the Essential service package. It provides key documentation, spare parts readiness lists & kits, O&M manual, warranty support, training, and access to a dedicated service team with on-call support during business hours. This package provides teams with a foundation for managing day-to-day needs while keeping critical information and parts readily accessible.

Enhanced

Includes everything in Essential, plus the Enhanced service package is for companies that need more structured support but still handle much of their maintenance in-house. It includes everything in Essential, plus spare parts kitting and tagging, scale pricing, parts revision management, and semi-annual inspections. This package helps overextended teams stay on top of maintenance and reduce downtime by providing additional service support.

Elite

Includes everything in Essential, plus the Elite service package is for companies that run lean teams or high-volume operations and require comprehensive support. In addition to everything in Enhanced, it provides, preventive maintenance services options, OEE management options, enhanced training and ramp-up production assistance. This package gives teams the highest level of coverage to maintain uptime and performance.

Frequently asked questions

What factory automation services does Eclipse Automation provide?

What is included in your factory automation support service packages?

Our factory automation service packages are designed to align with different operational needs:

Each package can be customized based on uptime targets, internal capabilities, and production risk.

Do you offer remote automation support and monitoring?

Yes. Contact us for more details. This enables faster troubleshooting, quicker recovery times, and access to expert automation engineers without delays caused by travel or onsite availability.

Do you support legacy automation systems and multi-vendor environments?

Yes. We specialize in supporting legacy automation systems, obsolete equipment, and multi-vendor industrial automation environments. Many manufacturers engage us when systems lack documentation, include unsupported components, or are difficult to troubleshoot. We help stabilize performance, improve documentation, and create a clear modernization roadmap.

How do your automation services help reduce downtime?

Our industrial automation support services are designed to reduce unplanned downtime by addressing root causes such as:

  • Poor or missing documentation
  • Difficult-to-diagnose faults
  • Skills gaps in automation expertise
  • Aging or obsolete components
  • Reactive maintenance practices

Through preventative maintenance, reliability inspections, structured documentation, and remote diagnostics, we help manufacturers shift from reactive firefighting to predictable system performance.

When should manufacturers invest in factory automation support services?

The most successful manufacturers invest in automation lifecycle services before failures occur. While we provide urgent troubleshooting when needed, proactive support helps:

  • Extend the life of automation assets
  • Improve reliability and maintainability
  • Reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Protect production performance
  • Improve long-term ROI on automation investments

Preventative support consistently delivers better operational and financial outcomes than reactive service alone.
