SMZ Switzerland Joins Eclipse Automation Team
Winding technology expertise added to Eclipse’s global automation solutions offering
CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO (May 18, 2021) – Effective on Friday May 14, 2021 the assets of SMZ Wickel- und Montagetechnik AG of Würenlos, Switzerland were acquired by Eclipse Automation Switzerland AG, creating a new site within the Eclipse Automation Inc. global network.
Eclipse Automation Switzerland AG will utilize the winding technology expertise of the former SMZ team as a welcome addition to Eclipse’s custom offering of complex, efficient automation systems, which have a proven track record of success with many of the world’s leading manufacturers. This melding of the best of SMZ’s technology within Eclipse’s portfolio of vertically integrated solutions further solidifies the Eclipse Group’s commitment to delivering the best solutions to every customer.
The Eclipse Technology Centre in Switzerland will collaborate with Eclipse’s other large manufacturing facilities in Veszprém, Hungary, strengthening its European footprint and increasing the capacity to serve their customer base within the diverse sectors in which they operate across North America, Europe and Asia.
