Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 3rd Year

Best Managed - WordPress CompressedEclipse Automation was honoured with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation for the third year in a row. The 2017 Best Managed program recognizes the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $15 million demonstrating strategy, capability and commitment to achieve sustainable growth.

“Best Managed companies deserve recognition for their entrepreneurial approach to excelling in an uncertain economic climate. They truly bring out the best in Canadian business leadership,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

Eclipse Automation was a winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program in 2014 and obtained its Requalified Winner Status in both 2015 and 2016 as a Best Managed company. Over the past year, Eclipse’s continued success has not only come from enhancing its core competencies, but from establishing strategic international partnerships that have enabled the company to create a solid global footprint both quickly and cost-efficiently.

Established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Winners are an important engine of economic growth for being adaptable and sustainable in a global market. Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel made up of judges from Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums. Best Managed companies share commonalities that include an emphasis on culture and people, innovation, sustained performance and strong financial results.

“Eclipse’s continued success this past year has been due to its focus on strategic partnerships and strategic planning on a global scale. By strengthening relationships and enhancing our best practices, industry IP, experience, and know-how, we are able to provide our clients with unique, cost-effective, and scalable automated manufacturing solutions anywhere in the world,” said Steve Mai, President of Eclipse Automation. “We are very proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies for the third year in a row.”

“CIBC proudly congratulates the 2017 winners of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, who exemplify business excellence and success,” says Jon Hountalas, Executive Vice President, Business and Corporate Banking, CIBC. “This year’s winners reinforce the significant impact that privately owned Canadian companies are making by pursuing innovation and maintaining a sharp focus on their clients.”

2017 winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 19, 2017. On the same date, the Best Managed symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today’s business leaders. The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums.

About Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $15 million.
